“This is probably the best selection of 1-ounce tastes anywhere. You can order a taste for as little as $1 and as much as $12 for a 2001 Solaia, a Super Tuscan of blended varieties.
There are 40 red wines and eight whites to order by the taste, glass or bottle and 18 flights. All 48 bottles are lined up along a wall and attached to an argon gas system, which more or less looks like life support, that keeps them from souring.
The room is decorated without restraint. Roman columns and burgundy-colored chaise lounges will make you long for a chariot parked in the Quail Hill strip mall.
Staff will encourage you to bring in any outside food you want to supplement (or entirely bypass) their cheese, cracker, dips and sliced meats menu. Patio seating is also available.”
