Happy New Year!

No way could it possibly be 2007. Like everyone else I wonder where did 2006 go?
This year I have only one resolution: to help YOU learn more about wine. We already have some cool new things in store for you.

Wine Bar Review
When was the last time you visited our website. Well, check it out. We’ve added reviews of over 50 wine bars. Yes, they’re all in Southern California, but we’ll get to the rest of the world soon enough. And yes, I feel it’s my responsibility to personally visit all of them.

E-Book Coming
While you were enjoying the holidays, we were slaving away on a fabulous e-book (that’s a book you can download from our website) called Wine, Have It Your Way. It’s a great collection of information guiding you through the world of wine. Look for details coming soon. I know you will love it.

And How About YOUR Resolutions?
We can’t make you wine savvy unless you get involved. Why not resolve to learn about and enjoy wine more.

Here are 5 resolutions that anyone can follow:

• #1 Go wine tasting: You can visit a vineyard or a wine store or restaurants that offer tastings
• #2 Host a wine party: Invite a bunch of friends, pick a wine region, and have them bring a bottle of wine within a price range and a little information about the wine. Put out wine glasses and enjoy while you learn.
• #3 Start a wine journal. You can get a fancy one or just a regular journal. Write down your favorites, your friend’s favorites or wines you must try. It doesn’t have to be well written; it’s just to keep track of your notes.
• #4 Buy some fun wine accessories - a wine opener that you feel comfortable with, different glasses and some wine charms (I like the ones with the feathers). Now you’re ready to entertain or just enjoy some wine by yourself.
• #5 Get caught up reading past Friday’s at Five with Lynne and Wine About It. It’s the only way to laugh your way through learning about wine. Help your friends learn as well by having them sign up for the hippest wine website out there!
