Wine Cocktails

My main quest in life is to make sure everyone enjoys wine and is as passionate about it as I am. I'm the first to admit it's not the hardest mission to accomplish. But there are some people out there that take a little more convincing and make me work a little harder to fulfill my mission.

Take for example my friend Mike who tells me he prefers cocktails over wine because they're "more fun and taste better." Honestly, what could be more fun than wine? But, I'm going to turn Mike into a wine lover by introducing him to some fabulous wine cocktails. It's the best of both worlds!

Join me in trying some of these fun drinks:

Margarita de Vino
Take a small glass (bucket) and throw in some ice. Pour a shot of tequila, 2 shots of orange juice, a splash of Grand Marnier and a splash of lime juice. Stir and top with Champagne and garnish with a lime slice. Viva la vino!

Tropical Vacation (sounds like something we all need to drink!)
Grab a white wine glass and fill half way with any white wine. Pour some pineapple juice and splashes of Amaretto and Blue Curacao. Stir and serve with a pineapple wedge and cocktail umbrella. Bon voyage!

Winetini - The "Fabulous" Wine Martini
Chill a martini glass. Fill the glass three quarters of the way with Pinot Grigio. Throw in some peach schnapps and some cranberry juice. Garnish with something fabulous like a cherry or a lychee. Go crazy - it's your drink!

Hopefully Mike is now convinced that wine can be just as fun as any other cocktail, and now you know some great ways to add a little pizzazz to your wine.
